The Char Dham Yatra is one of the most revered pilgrimages in Hinduism, symbolizing the journey to attain spiritual liberation. While the complete Char Dham includes Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath, this 5-day itinerary is focused on the Yamunotri Dham, the source of the sacred Yamuna River and the seat of Goddess Yamuna.
Located in the western region of the Garhwal Himalayas at an altitude of 3,293 meters, Yamunotri is not only a spiritually significant place but also a destination of stunning natural beauty. According to Hindu mythology, a visit to Yamunotri ensures protection from untimely death and provides spiritual purification. The journey to Yamunotri involves scenic drives, thrilling treks, and a deeply divine atmosphere.
Beginning from Delhi, this pilgrimage takes you through Haridwar, Barkot, and finally to Yamunotri, where you trek to the temple nestled amid snow-capped peaks and gushing streams. En route, pilgrims enjoy the enchanting charm of the Himalayas, hot water springs like Surya Kund, and temples that offer peace and devotion.
